Can't get to Settings

Hello PT team,

neat piece of software - congrats. I installed it on my Win 8.1 desktop and I get an error when I try to get to the settings.
I have another question - I have a paid VPN with SSH Tunnel - can I use it instead of the free one thats integrated in PT?

PS. I tried compatibility mode with Win 8 and Win 7... it didn't help.
